Google, the speed of the sites becomes a factor of Ranking

With a post on the blog dedicated to webmasters, Google announced that it had decided to enter the speed of the site as a benchmark for its ranking algorithm.

Like us, Our users place a lot of value in speed - that's why we've Decided To Take Our site speed into account in search rankings.

To determine the speed of a site other than Google will use a variety of sources. Google points out some tools that webmasters can use to assess the speed of your site.

Page Speed , an open source Firefox / Firebug add-on That evaluates the performance of web pages and Gives suggestions for improvement.

YSlow , a free tool from Yahoo! That Suggests Ways to Improve Speed website.

WebPagetest waterfall shows a view of your pages' load performance plus an optimization checklist.

In Webmaster Tools , Labs> Site Performance shows the speed of your website as experienced by users around the world as in the chart below. Also we've blogged about site performance .

Of course the speed of the site will not have to Google the same value of the relevance of the page.
Currently less than 1% of queries are affected by the new parameter (speed of the site), and the new parameter is considered only on research carried out in English on Google.com.
